LRC cars...very nice. Will the interior lighting and details match the previously released versions for the Canada scheme so as not to look odd in a consist?

That is one beautiful 4-6-4!! Sadly that would look out of place on a switching layout.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think I see one of our forum members in one of Jason's photos.

Jason! We need the white CNLX 3800's like one of the photos. I can't buy a six pack if you don't want me to buy a six pack 🙂
I'll try for maybe two of those CN environmental ones.

I think you're right. I'm looking at our photos and the streaks make it very confusing. I will let Dan and Josh know. We'll change it to a 6-panel car. -Jason

LRC cars are a welcome sight to see. I'd love to see the Amtrak version run again. My Amtrak LRC is coachless...

The 5 seams between the 6 panels really stand out in this picture taken shortly after delivery: canadianfreightcargallery.ca/cgi-bin/image.pl?i=cp387167&o=cprailAlso note the HST builders mark where the artwork shows MIL.

At the risk of poking a stick in another ant hill...
In looking at the artwork for the CP Rail small multimark scheme...was this a repaint on 7-81? I can't quite make it out. When did cars start getting repainted into this scheme? I know the CNIS and the CP script cars will fit into my 1975 Erie Lackawanna time frame because I've got a bunch of hits in the EL wheel report collection, but I want to double-check the date of the CP Rail one.
Flame away!

Flame away! The CP Rail image came out in 1969, IIRC. Regarding the paint date on the Rapido multimark car, I agree it looks like 7-81 to me. The CP 387000-387599 series was built by HST January-May 1968 and delivered in the CP script scheme. CP adopted the multimark in July 1968. As some of the last cars delivered in the script scheme, they lasted a long time in their delivery scheme (link to a script car with the CAPY line painted out: canadianfreightcargallery.ca/cgi-bin/image.pl?i=cp387230&o=cprail). In 1991, this series was given CPLX reporting marks. Some of the script cars lasted long enough in their original scheme to be given the new CPLX marks: canadianfreightcargallery.ca/cgi-bin/image.pl?i=cplx387326&o=cplxSome were completely repainted in the 1990s grey and red scheme: canadianfreightcargallery.ca/cgi-bin/image.pl?i=cplx387279&o=cplxSome notes on the other schemes: -The Potacan cars with the trough hatch became CP 383700-383802 in 1984 and appear to have been mostly repainted in the spartan black CP scheme. -The CNIS cars in the CNIS 368000-368999 series were built by NSC in 1974. There appears to be a running change within this series with the low-numbered cars having 9 side panels and the higher-numbered cars having 11 panels like the Rapido model. Only three of the numbers offered by Rapido fall in the correct range (~368300 and up) that matches the model. -The CN "Environmental Mode" cars first appeared in mid-1991. Interestingly, for this scheme, Rapido has selected car numbers that span two different car series. Four numbers are in series CN 370881-371580 built by NSC in 1966-67; these are 3850 cuft cars that have a slightly different pattern of side panels and weld seams. Two numbers are in series CN 371600-371999 built by NSC in 1975 that are actually 3800s and match the Rapido model. Unsure why Rapido did not select six numbers in this higher range that received the Environmental Mode logo.

Has Jason called you "Captain" yet? I keep trying to get him to call me "His Excellency" but for some odd reason, he won't bite. I'll try "Captain" next You could always try "Mr. President". These are both references to the same character in a sci-fi series, that Jason should recognize. The executive producer is a friend of mine, and an avid N scaler...

Didn't know he was an avid N scaler. Kinda makes sense as George Johnson used to own Deluxe Innovations back in those days. George & I would always chat during train shows & of course talk about that maniac Joe Straczynski (yes, I used to chat with JMS all the time online). I haven't seen any of those guys in years. *sigh* Well, now you kinda know where Bruce Boxleighter got that awesome name

FYI, Rapido has updated the artwork for the CP script and multimark cars to correctly reflect their 6-panel construction. The artwork is also now showing the correct HST builders mark and 4-68 NEW date on the script car (although the smaller BLT date on the opposite end of the car still looks like 4-67?). It also looks like the multimark car has been updated to a 4-80 repaint date.
No change to the CNIS and CN Environmental Mode roadnumbers yet however.
