Another good looking classic, Jim!
Thanks for your explanation on the E-unit thread on how you set up your lighting.
Hope you don't mind my noticing, but the windshield glazing seems to be positioned further out than it should. Is that an IM issue?

Hope you don't mind my noticing, but the windshield glazing seems to be positioned further out than it should. Is that an IM issue? When building an Intermountain F-unit, you quickly realize things aren't as tight as a Highliners shell. There is a reason why Intermountain F-units sell for a greater discounted price than an Athearn Genesis/Highliners. While the body is "okay", it has dimensional errors and the tooling is second rate to the Highliners. I may have needed to take more material off of the window to get it to fit better. The camera finds a builds flaws, better than the even the magnified eye.

My work on the El Cap cars looks done by my eye but when I take pictures of the work, I always see areas that need attention. It is sort of a review and rework. The FP7 does looks nice. If the area behind the windshield was yellow or the color of the interior, I believe the window would look more in place. The F unit High liner / Genesis shells really are excellent and much better than the Intermountain. I purchased one of the first Intermountain F Kits and was not happy with the fit and finally shelved the project and tossed it into the never to be worked on bin. That was prior to their having the drives, but they offered the shells undecorated. Larry
