Do the LokPilot 5 basic non sound decoders contain all the non sound performance features that the high end LokSound V5 contain? Do they work seamlessly with the LokSound V5 decoders? My primary question is does the Basic LokPilot 5 have the Drive Hold feature? Could I install a LokPilot 5, non sound decoder in the B unit of an A-B-A set of F units which have LokSound V5 sound decoders installed in the A units, then consist the three units and have the Drive Hold feature work throughout the consist?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I just got my hands on one of the new LokPilot 5 Basics. It does have Drive Hold.

cp9002 Thanks for the reply. That’s what I was hoping to hear. Now the issue is waiting for ESU to get their decoders to market at some point soon. Tom

I've gotten a bunch of Lokpilot 5's for my nonsound ScaleTrains engines because I couldn't afford factory sound for all of them. That's good news. OTOH, I was told the Soundtrax nonsound decoder is missing braking scenarios that the Tsunami 2's have.
