Some progress on my grain elevator project: Interior view, lots of Evergreen styrene in here. The 'leg' is on the left, my crude attempt at a weigh hopper to the right. The holes in the wall are access for cleaning out the bins. After taking this pic I installed another wall identical to the one on the other side and added some spouts leading down into the weigh hopper. View from the driveway area, showing the leg and the 'alley' behind it. A Kadee brake wheel serves as the distributor wheel. Got the exterior painted in white, car loading pipes and fall arresting cable brackets installed. Still needs a few finishing touches before final painting. Also got the distinctivce Canadian 'base flare' added to one side, and will be bringing it the rest of the way around.

Donnell, those look really nice, I assume those are also N scale? What software are you using for your design work?

Good evening from Northeast Ohio! First up is #13 complete of the Tichy Panel Side Hopper with grain extension. Car was painted with Scalecoat II Green tinged Silver and lettered with the kit supplied decals. The Anderson's acquired these cars from the Wabash and installed the grain extension as the cars would fill up with grain before they weighed out to capacity. The loads were covered with a tarp for the short trip from Maumee to the port of Toledo to unload the grain. Next is a Branchline Berwick 5077CF kit, I added A-line Sill Steps and a Hennessy Door Openig Mechanism to the car to match the prototype. Railroads tried the Hennessy to mitigate the damage done by the fork lifts used to open the doors, but the door opener was fragile also and was easily damaged. Car was painted with Scalecoat II mixture of Big Sky Blue, BN Greeen and white paint along with Silver, then lettered with Herald King Decals. The Middletown purchased 500 of these cars during the IPD era and when it ended the railroad ended up with 500 cars on its rails that were not needed, took them 10 years to finally rid themselves of these cars. Thanks to Ed (gmpullman) our club now has the feed mill to put into our grain elevator complex at the train club. It did not have all the pieces so I improvised with what was there and repaired some of the problems with the person who started the kit as well as using Campbell Corrugated panels for the roof material. Pair of Athearn FP7's with a mail and express train on the Strongsville Club layout. Thanks for looking! Rick Jesionowski

Donnell, those look really nice, I assume those are also N scale? What software are you using for your design work? I sorry, I forgot to answer your question. The software I use is Alibre Design Professional. I've been a user since 2005. Chitubox is the slicer program for the printer. I'm hoping to try out Lychee slicer as I hear really good things about it. Layer height is 20 microns (20um).

Those plows are looking good, Donnell!
Adam you've really built up quite the library of trucks. Just a few years ago there wasn't much of a path forward on unique designs like these, short of scratchbuilding masters and casting them in resin. It's cool to see these older designs come back to life.

Thanks Ryan, I certainly have! Makes me increasingly picky though: I could use this close stand-in, or I could make the actual thing. Now I have to go back and put the Buckeye trucks on my Kadee WM PS-1s, because I decided Moloco A-3s are not a close enough substitute after all.

Finished this patch job up. Got the ditch lights and anti-climber face painted yellow. Will add some reflective stripes eventually. 20220919_130546 by Tripps Pics79, on Flickr Nose came out much better than i anticipated. Had to strip it all down when adding the nose headlight. 20220919_170303 by Tripps Pics79, on Flickr
