I have created a "Dark Theme" option for those that prefer the darker background. The way to access the change is as follows: Select: Profile > Edit Profile > Settings. Scroll down to 'Forum Theme' and select 'Dark Theme' from the drop-down menu. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select: 'Save Account Settings' to save the change. Then, refresh your browser or the click back to the forum you were on to initiate the change.
Thanks again for the feedback! Enjoy!

Many thanks, Donnell!! I have switched to Dark Mode on my macOS and iOS devices and really like how my eyes feel more relaxed by not staring at so much bright white all day.

For a brief time yesterday (?), I experienced the gold letters on dark blue. Nope. Not good.
Light letters on dark background just don't work for me. Might be all those pages I've read in books.
I was so relieved when the old format came back!

What is VERY excellent is that Donnell is giving us a choice. Seems to be kinda rare for "tech stuff" these days.
Thanks, Donnell!

At night I turn on an app/program on my browsers & Thunderbird called Dark Reader. It more-or-less swaps light web page colors to dark, & vv. Very effective, highly reccomended.
I also use f.lux, an app/program that automatically changes the screen to more red according to time-of-day or manually. Very flexible. At night, if you swap back to a 5300K "daylight" screen with a white background, it's like looking into the sun. If you need night vision or don't want to disturb others you can make the screen so red & dim it's like being on a Navy ship.
As website dark themes go, this one is very good. The blues are just-right, very mellow. I'll use it in the daytime.

Thanks Donnell- I've got all of my devices set to do as much dark mode as they can. It's so much easier to look at for a longer period of time.

Come to the dark format. You can't see your Rapido flaws in it.

Thanks for this great option, Donnell! It is such an improvement over the "snow-blindness" white screen...

Very late to this thread just wish to point out you can also just lower the brightness at the bottom of your screen where the battery life /date/time are, outside of forum page...

Only if you're on Windows. You mean to say there ARE computers that do not have a brightness control ?? That's hard to believe.... You specifically mentioned the bottom right corner. Actually most desktop computers don't have an OS-controlled brightness adjustment; they have it in the monitor(s). Laptops have it in software so they can lower the brightness to preserve battery power.

Donnell...
I recently upgraded my computer setup to 2 Samsung 24" monitors (actually downgraded from a three monitor setup; but can't find any good cheap 19" screens to replace). These new Samsung screens are exceptionally bright. Thank you for your "dark" mode. Wonderful.
