Good morning. It's sunny and 25, after a dreary snowy 35 degree day yesterday. I'm off to our local train club to see if I can tweak one of our members' Bachmann Mohawk. After that, I'm off to work until after midnight. I keep reminding myself how lucky I am to have a job. Take care, and enjoy your holiday tomorrow.

Good Morning Terry and the rest of the Forum Folks. We were a bit warmer yesterday and had rain that turned to snow, but it was too warm to stick. Didn't know round two was coming, till I looked out the window at about 0145 this morning. Just after sunup, this is what it looked like around southeastern, NC. Well, in my yard, anyway! Quite a rarity for us. A tree in our neighbors yard..... And one of many yard plants that thought spring had arrived, due to the mild temps and pllentiful rain we've had.... It should all be gone by mid-afternoon, but the temps won't get to the mid-40's and the winds will be blowing out of the northwest, all day. Brrrrrrr........ Should be a bit warmer as the week progresses.

A couple of real nice pics, Larry. I'd think being on that hillside would be a bit on the chilly side!! Today was my 1st day off after having worked straight 12 days or nights. While my Capt. was in Daytona for the race, the night shift officer called me early Sat. evening and had to go home. At least I had managed to get the household shopping done during the morning. I worked till around 1:30 a.m. and had a part-timer finish out the rest of the shift. He and I also split the Sunday night shift, so I could go in on Monday morning. Tuesday wasn't much better. After being in a training class all day, while my part-timer covered the Town, I worked into the mid-evening, while the night shift officer went to a training class. Due to the officer being out sick, Wednesday and Thursday were long days, so that my part-timer wouldn't have too many hours built up. I had him coming in later in the evening. Even though my Capt. was back on Friday, I had too much admin stuff piled up to take the day off. I slept in, this morning, then helped LD with some chores that have been lacking, due to having no time during the week to do it. Hope that everyone had a good week.

Some great shots Larry, I've been chomping at the bit to get back up to Donner ever since my first time there a year ago!

Thanks. The picture is a bid misleading since it was taken from a high bridge over the tracks. It is the 267 highway bridge east of town and it is not for the faint heart.
