I'll start this wee k off with two cars I have been working on other the past week. First car is an Exactrail Evans 4780 that was originally built for USLX / Louis Dreyfus. The car has changed hands and is now owned by Wells Fargo Rail Group and is patched so. I found the prototype image for this car on RailCarphotos.com by Dennis Faust. 20230226_203229 by Russ Goodwin, on Flickr 20230226_203242 by Russ Goodwin, on Flickr Second car is the new TWF10 well car from ClassOneModelWorks, and is the late version. I spent about 4 hours weathering it yesterday. I couldn't find a picture of this road number, as it is patched, so I based it off of other cars that I have either shot myself or found on-line. 20230225_172751 by Russ Goodwin, on Flickr 20230225_172805 by Russ Goodwin, on Flickr Russ Alright, what am I missing to get the images to show rather than the hyperlinks???

Both cars look great Russ! Your TWF-10 looks just right, hoping my two cars turnout that good.
As far as your links not showing as photos, I've had the same problem. So I'll be interested in the solution.

So I'll be interested in the solution. Thanks Todd! I have two of the TWF-10's as well, with the second being the intermediate version. I plugged the holes with Perfect putty and let it sit overnight to dry. I used a 400-grit sanding stick, with was too aggressive. Next time it will be either 800- or 1200-grit, as the 400-grit cut thru to the metal base fairly quick in some spots. I did not primer the interior before spraying it with Tamiya Camel Yellow, which is ~1/2 way between CAT yellow and TTX yellow. On the second car I will primer the area first and then hit it with Camel Yellow, as some of the white putty spots are still showing thru.

I had a bit of fun with this Rapido E8B. The Rock Island got a bunch of these B units from the UP in 1969, and rode them hard on freight trains through the mid 70's. I removed the factory lettering, added some grabs to the roof, replaced the too narrow fuel tank, resprayed the roof and ends gray, then weathered it to prototype photos. I also changed out the pathetic Rapido speakers for ones from Scale Sound Systems. Dam that looks hot!!! Is rapido still using those crappy iphone speakers?

Dam that looks hot!!! Is rapido still using those crappy iphone speakers? I think that's what they are. It doesn't help the enclosure is small enough to fit inside an SW1. There is a ton of dead space inside these things. Use it!

I respect everybody's contributions but that Rock Island unit just blows me away! I love the faded heralds in particular. The darker tones you chose for the heavily rusted panels are perfect.
