I didn't want to be first again, but I didn't see this started for today. This is the BEMO Ge 4/4 III locomotive used by several meter gauge railroads in Switzerland. This one is for the Rhätische Bahn. It has Loksound 5 DCC and is a very good runner with excellent sound. Nice weight too for pulling the 5% grade on the Arosa Line spur of the RhB. Detail is incredibly tiny and took several hours to install with my old eyes. The grab rails have yet to be painted, but something I'm going to tackle this afternoon. From Modellbahn Shop-Lippe in Germany. To the left is the Stadler ABe 8/12 Allegra Triebwagen, to the left of that is the ABe 4/4 III Triebwagen:

^^^^^^^^^^^^ Sehr schoen! A little fun with one of the dioramas this morning...... USLX 125 D&RGW 65007 SP 697848 What's on the desk, Atlas ACF'60single door car, I thought it would be an easy project to make a new, correct door for this model, needless to say, I made a large detour at the under frame and haven't made it to the door yet......... Have a great Sunday, Mark Hills

Very nice work. I can't tell you how many of those Hydra-Cushion cars I've seen that look just like that.

Nothing too terribly exciting this week, dragged some equipment down to the club to get some run time in. Here we see LHR 29 with a block of trailers head out accelerating westbound towards Allentown Yard past the canal in Bethlehem.

From Modellbahn Shop-Lippe in Germany. I had quite a bit of Bemo HOm back in the 1980s and 90s before I had to reel in the number of scales and gauges that I was involved with. Bemo was/is easliy the best detailed, best painted, best running, best engineered, and best assembled equipment that I have ever owned even to this day. Thanks for posting this as I have not kept up with Swiss narrow gauge for quite some time now. The Arosa line is beautiful (and at one time had mixed trains!), and is not as "touristy" as the Glacier Express. The Bernina-bahn is still my favorite; the Furka Pass line (before the base tunnel) was incredible as well.

[/quote] You really need to knock it off with all of that underframe stuff (ha!!). Everytime I turn a car over, I look at it and think "this is cr#p", then put it away and try to forget about it. Then you come along and actually deal with it

I've been slowly picking away at another Downtown Deco structure. I love the variety of textures on these kits, but dang they are time consuming.

Also curious what you use to make a Evans boxcar like this? Nope, not all of them had a logo and from what I've found out most had different slogans on either side of the car. The prototype was built in '67 by ACF and leased to Evans, from what I can tell was it repainted into these colors at Blue Island, IL in 1974. The model started as a Front Range car that I rebuilt the underframe, draft gear, doors and roof. Other side of my model.

The prototype car doesn't have them.

Ah, you caught me, I really just failed to notice them until after I painted it, at best it's an "ok" model, happily a quality replacement is in the works from a well respected manufacturer.

These cars were painted in a wide variety of schemes for private owners much like the Evans "Blue Island Reefers" were. A nice model of those cars would be very welcomed.
