Has anyone bought it yet ?
Has anyone started to build it yet ?
If so what glue will you use to glue in the rails to the base ?
I bought the kit , but unsure what Glue to use to secure the rails to the base !
I want it to look Great when done ! I most likely will use Atlas Code 83 track so it links up to my Kato HO Track .
Please Share pictures when you are ready ?

I haven’t built a structure kit with rails like that, but I’d probably try Barge all-purpose cement. That’s the recommend glue for attaching rail to Central Valley plastic tie strips, so it seems like it would work in this situation too.

To attach the rails to the floor I would use canopy cement. It dries clear and will stick to about anything. I've used it to repair Delrin handrails with great success. --- Ken

I would only glue one end of the track because of expansion or contraction & use rail joiners to hold the other end down if using it as a run through shop, If not glue the track at the wall/end & have the rail joiners at the doors. I have seen to much damage (a helix & a scratch built bridge) done by gluing everything down & no gaps.

How do the instructions say to handle the rail installation?

I've done similar Walthers buildings with rail in the floor. Just use some canopy cement to attach the rail. The plastic floor won't expand or contract due to temp and humidity changes nor will that length of rail.

Looks like a neat building, club needs a medium sized stand in for the Reading, PA engine house...

It does look very nice.
Being brick, I don't see it showing up on the west side of the country. Not a lot of masonry railroad buildings on the west coast. Oakland had one, but I believe it was built before they invented earthquakes.

Someone said it was an MILW prototype, or the N scale one maybe.

Someone said it was an MILW prototype, or the N scale one maybe. Both scales are a model of the Milwaukee Road Tacoma, WA diesel shop.

Someone said it was an MILW prototype, or the N scale one maybe. Yes, Walthers says that. More likely the eastern end. I thought I read St. Paul, but I can't find that now. Ed

Tacoma, huh? Well, that's certainly on the west coast. I wouldn't mind seeing the drawings for the building. Here's another view showing some cribbing supporting part of the structure. For some reason. Ed
