Hey everyone. Just get back in to the hobby after a few year away. Picked up an n scale atlas turntable and motor. I'm running dcc. And don't have a dc throttle to run the turntable motor. Instead going out and buying one, I was wondering if a pwm dc controler off Amazon would work for this as it is $12. Or if I need to buy a new (maybe used) dc throttle. Any help would greatly appreciated

So there's a few ways to handle this. 1) Get a DCC decoder, and plug the motor leads from it, into the turntable motor, and hardwire it to your DCC bus. Then you can control the turntable via DCC. If you set the Vmin (cv 2 or 3?) really high, you should be able to get the throttle to seemingly work as as on/off toggle. 2) Go buy a bridge rectifier, and use the DCC power. It will turn the DCC power into a straight DC power. Then use an on-off-on toggle to swap dirtection. Something like this: www.amazon.com/dp/B09BTPQZ2G/3) Buy another power pack.

The "cooler" way to deal with it is to use an inexpensive motor decoder and wire it to the turntable motor. The "cheap" way is to get an old Bachmann train set power pack, and use the directional throttle to run the motor.
