I can’t find a single reference to installing a ESU Loksound V5, or anything else, in a new Bowser C630 except a barebones exploded diagram on their site. Only document in the box is about lubrication, which is news to me.
Any suggested welcomed, thanks in advance to any that might reply.

It's a M630: www.bowser-trains.com/history/mlwm630loco.htmlExec = Executive Line: Ready to Run, super detailed, numbered, with DCC and Sound or Analog (DC). DCC and Sound version features LokSound Select decoder. Analog (DC) version has 21 pin socket for DCC module. For decoder install, remove shell, insert 21 pin decoder onto the existing circuit board.

How is the speaker quality supplied in the kits?

How is the speaker quality supplied in the kits? It's pretty "meh". Sound is clear, but nothing to write home about. Okay volume, not a lot of the lower pitches.

Just got my speaker from Bowser for the Alco. I'd have thought the speaker wire and plug would be the correct length and just go in place.....nope...at least it has the proper little white plug to fit on the board, so...soldering I didn't care to do. I'm getting there. Bowser was out of decoders, so I get to dig out my ESU LokProgrammer and fuss with all that, too.

Tried to get the decoder going yesterday using a Lok Programmer and Decoder Tester. I did get the sound file loaded, and upon test the sound was barely audible. I'd put the two brown spkr wires into the SPKR ports on the multiple input device.
The decoder is a: 58429 Loksound 5 DCC Decoder 21MTC "Generic Sound" Ready for Programming. It is plugged into the "21" plug device on the tester. It did seem to take the program installing with no issue.
When I opened the throttle on the test screen the loco would (barely) start, the motor on the board ran, briefly. It would then stop and the "GO" would go out.
Thinking I might put it into the loco and see if it works any different on a test track.
