Were 2893 cubic foot covered hoppers used for grain(wheat, corn, etc) in the mid 1950's to mid 1960's?

Here's a chart of densities for common materials: www.engineeringtoolbox.com/density-materials-d_1652.htmlThe ideal density for a 2893 car, if it's a 70 ton car, is 48 lbs per cubic foot. Anything denser will have to be a partial fill. And waste available volume. Anything lighter will weigh less than maximum load. And waste available weight capacity. So you want something around 48 lbs/cuft. Ed
