My airbrushes, a high-quality connection hose, paint jars and my compressor are missing from my garage. I spent three hours this morning trying to find them, but they are nowhere to be found. I am in the market for new airbrush accessories. I was wondering what compressor the members of this forum recommend. I had a great compressor and I want to purchase a high-quality compressor. So, I would appreciate hearing any and all ideas. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

My airbrushes, a high-quality connection hose, paint jars, and my compressor are missing from my garage. I spent three hours this morning trying to find them, but they are nowhere to be found. Ouch. In 1989 I bought the cheapest oilless tank compressor I could find. Still using it. It set me back about a hundred. I looked at the Prime Days sales for compressors. There are choices for about what I paid 34 years ago. I checked Lowes and Home Depot. Both have compressors at about the same prices as Amazon Prime. I might go with the California Air Tools one-gallon oilless compressor which is about a hundred bucks at Amazon and just a bit more at Home Depot. And a lot more at Lowes.

I've been using a cheap box store one or two gallon air compressor like Christian for a number of years. One major drawback with them is they are LOUD! I keep my compressor under the bench close to my spray booth. It's real fun when the compressor kicks on and jump scares me while trying to paint. I've really been meaning to pick up a nice Pasche or similar quiet compressor.

I too was recently in the market for a new airbrush compressor. After looking at what was available, I went with a Milwaukee M18 air compressor. It's quite, has more capacity than a standard airbrush compressor, was cheaper, and potentially has more uses. I already had the batteries, so for me that wasn't an issue.

I've been using the this compressor & tank for a few years now and it has been most satisfactory. Its about $150 on Amazon. I did change out the pressure gauge for one that is 0-60psi. Its not silent, but it is very quiet.

Thanks everyone. Much appreciated. I need one that is not noisy to maintain the domestic tranquility if you know what I mean.
