John Greene the owner of Bethlehem Car Works passed away on Tuesday August 29th. I know John was looking for a buyer for the business but have no idea if he had found one. --- Ken

August 31, starting about 9:07 p.m.
The person who sent me the news of John Greene's death yesterday, who knew him quite well, said he had been unable to find a buyer for his business.

As a resource for Branchline passenger car parts, he will be missed. I had been meaning to place an order for some parts, but obviously that won't be happening now.
I've built a few of the Bethlehem kits and they were nice. It looks like some of the newer ones even had 3D printed parts.
I feel like a lot of these smaller kit companies will slowly die off over time. Who is still doing independent injection-molding kits? Tichy? They already have a pretty extensive range of detail parts; I think they would be the best option to pick up the Bethlehem line.

Sorry to hear. John was a nice guy. BCW contributed a lot to the hobby. Guess I waited too long to buy a Pennsy horse car kit.
