I've spent quite a bit of time on google, Shapeways and various hobby vendor sites. I was unable to find bulk qtys of just AB brake (Westinghouse) triple valves. Someone used to sell bulk retainer valves on Shapeways and I did buy some of those a few years back. But I can't seem to find the equivalent bulk container consisting only of triple valves. Besides, I find the Shapeways pricing model is out of bounds and I am admittedly a bit cost-sensitive for this part.
I am aware of the very nice complete brake sets offered by Tichy, Cal-Scale et al but these are very costly and I just get ONE valve and many nice parts I don't usually use.
There were once a bunch of these in my junk parts and large sprue collection but it seems they've all been used up!
Any ideas for current offerings that won't break the bank?

Accurail has some for a buck each, and you get 100 free screws, 25 brake cylinders and 25 reservoirs too for your $25. accurail.com/accurail/parts.htm Look for the Boxcar Detail Sprues on the right hand side of the page. Part number 159. They're not super detailed, but if you just want something underneath that looks the part they might be enough.

Bowser has them for about a buck each. Two ways. One is for the Roadrailer boogie and the other is part of a sprue with cylinder and reservoir. The sprue is illustrated and doesn't look great. The Roadrailer is not illustrated but is likely to be better detailed.
The Central Valley brake sprue contains two triple valves. They are sold three sprues for six bucks. Or, about a dollar per valve. Plus you can increase your reservoir pile!

Thanks so much Christian for the helping hand, I assume this is the Bowser sprue you refer to: For the Central Valley brake sprue, I assume this is what you are referring to, hard to see the detail on this page: www.cvmw.com/1000/1000.htm

I had dismissed it earlier because of the tiny image but your post reminded me I had worked with these parts before. So I dug the model out of the vault for analysis and found both the price and detail quality (see one of my earlier projects below) to be an excellent value. I would need to pay for direct US shipping but they have some other items I've wanted for a while, so this could well be the solution!

Thank you Colin and Christian for your excellent input and continuing participation in my threads.
25-pack of Accurail 159 (along with many other bits) for the win and on their way to me now!

Now I have the same questions for KC brake cylinders *only*. I checked Shapeways, Accurail, Kato, google and various other vendor websites but none that I could find offer these old-time cylinders in bulk. All of the sets I've seen are quite pricey. Note I have a good stock of all other major brake system components, so I am really after just the KC cylinder part in bulk. Any product suggestions?

Is this on the Tichy set? They will do bulk rates but you have to contact them. Cant remember if there is a minimum.

Note I have a good stock of all other major brake system components, so I am really after just the KC cylinder part in bulk. The two Tichy K brake sets are the cheapest. Other useful underneath parts in the kit. USD 3.50. San Juan carries the former Grandt Line K set. Lots of useful parts. Intended for narrow gauge, the same components used on SG cars. USD 4.50. Cal-Scale has been around forever but holds up. Good diagrams. About USD 6.50. Precision Scale has a pack of two KC cylinders in brass for about USD 8.00. It might only be an eBay thing. Tangent 1917 tank-car parts list a K brake system. It is designed for tank cars so many of the parts on the sprue will be discarded. USD 8.00. None of these sites list a bulk discount on parts.
