Nice looking parts, Donnell. What do you use for gluing them to the trucks?
Very nice looking prints, obviously excellent CAD work as well.

That's very nice Donnell! How flexible is the cable?

So today we had a fix the manufacturer's screw up session. Same old story, they have the correct parts, they just don't assemble them correctly... This is an Athearn Genesis ACL wreck rebuild, in SCL colors. She should externally be an F9. She is an F9 on the engineers side (right). But on the fireman's side (left), Athearn made a mistake and installed an F7 Phase II side panel. A Highliner panel L5 needs to be installed in place of the L4 panel. This was a pain, and not something one wants to do with a fully detailed model. The grill has separated a bit too, one more item that will need some some remediatory efforts... That's very nice Donnell! How flexible is the cable? In it's "green" state (uncured) it's pretty flexible. After curing it remains somewhat flexible. I plan on revising the cable to bend toward the face of the truck side-frame, possibly adding a mounting tab or clip with a pin on the back to mount the cord to the side frame. I'll have to experiment with this. Donnell

Looks great, Donnell, but you already knew that!
Nice fix on the SCL unit, sadly the same old tune with a lot of releases..

Good afternoon from sunny and mild Northeast Ohio! I got a couple of new cars done this week! First up a Stewart G39a ore jennie, painted with Scalecoat II Black Paint and lettered with Middle Division Decals, these were upgrades of the G39 cars and the air tanks and ABD Valve were moved from under the car where the heaters would damage the gaskets in those parts while they tried to get the frozen ore out during the winter. (Thanks to Ed (GM Pullman for this information)). Another Bowser Covered Hopper kit, painted with Scalecoat II Black paint and lettered with Highball Graphics decals. The Annie originally purchased these cars to haul cement from the Dundee, MI cement plant to various locations due to the large use of cement in the early Interstate Highway program, they then migrated to the Yuma, MI sand pit delivering casting sand to the Ford Engine plant in Brookpark, OH. Last weekend I took my Bowser C-636 demonstrators to the club and ran them with 41 G39 and G39A ore jennies on the Strongsville Club layout. Thanks for looking! Rick Jesionowski

Several weeks ago, I received an email from the Illini Chapter PCS Club advising me that they were selling various cars as part of a fundraising effort. One of the cars they were selling was an Accurail wooden reefer decorated in the livery of the Phillip Best Brewing Company of Milwaukee Wisconsin. The car looked really cool, so I decided to buy some. I just completed construction of the first one which is shown below: The roof was weathered with various shades of brown and black Pan Pastels, while the side was weathered with brown Tamiya panel accent color. The trucks were painted with Rustoleum black automotive primer cover with various shades of brown and rust colored pan pastels. The wheels were painted Roof Brown.

Thursday night I put the decals on my first WM 66 ton fishbelly hopper, just in time to bring it along to MARPM this weekend. Now I only need about 30 more... but that can wait for the actual kit.
