Hello folks--
I personally do not weather my locos, and prefer to keep them looking basically as delivered.
However, I really appreciate the outstanding models done by various folks on these forums, especially Elizabeth's cool SP diesel models that look like they just came down off Tehachapi through the gazillion tunnels.
So why not create a thread where people can post their dirtied Alco/MLW photos?
Show me, please.

A couple that I've finished, I'm not a huge fan of Alcos but these were fun to build and at some point I'll kitbash #600. Me taking a pic of #600 at Provo, UT. 41 years ago.

Really cool! Particularly love those ex-Santa Fe Alligators, but the RSD-5 and -12 are cool too!
The backlit scene is awesome.

Model Power Alco FA-2I haven’t done any weathering of locomotives in a long, LONG time. Here's a photo of an Alco FA-2 that I weathered for my then Susquehanna & Western layout. Maybe this thread will motivate me. How about a Lehigh Valley RS-11 covered with all that Alco sooty smoke?

Model power? Wow! Love seeing those cheap " train set" type trains made into realistic looking models!

Nice job all! Really like the detailing and airbrushed? weathering on the Model Power FA-2.

Very light upgrades to a Yellow-box Atlas.

Nice photos all. Love the GBW 'gator, now hard to find, and the tasteful upgrades with lighter weathering to the yellow box Atlas C425. I wouldn't have known it was a yellow box version.

Here is my Penn Central Alco S3. It started as a P2K S3 undecorated model that I painted, decaled and weathered. I also added a Loksound Direct with the integrated PowerPack. Tight fit but it worked. This older model runs well and is nicely detailed although I replaced the plastic grabs with metal ones.
