Sorry about the auf Deutsch title. These are 5th generation Twindexx coaches made by Bombardier and seat between 100 and 150 passengers depending upon customer configuration. Most were ordered in 2019 and delivery started in '21. The fourth lighted wagon arrived today so I now have this consist as I want it. Roco collaborated with another company for the design of the coaches, and particularly, the interiors. The single coaches are no longer available from retailers in Germany and are sold out. Micro Macro Mundo out of Miami still has the singles in stock so I purchased one from them. These are the same coaches that are now only available in the three wagon set I received last week, or the two wagon set I chose not to order because of parking restrictions when not running it. Roco and Huppertz Modellbau did a very nice job on these coaches with the best detail I've seen so far from Roco. Notice the lighted sign boards on the sides of the wagons and the interior detailing.

Good morning from cloudy and mild Northeast Ohio! Did not get a lot done this week what with league bowling in full swing and going back to work, but I did get one load done and finished a Moloco kit and it is in the paint shop now. I found this Transformer on E-Bay for a decent price and installed it on one of my Eastern Car Works depressed center flats with scale 4x4's as blocking and brass wire for tie downs. Here is the final underneath detail on the GATC RBL, since I used no roofwalk on the model, I had to move the retaining valve to near the ABD valve on bottom of the side sill instead of on the end of the car. Now the end of the car, I lowered the brake wheel and filled all the preformed holes in the end of the car I did not need. I did not install any of the side detail so it will be out of the way when I mask the sides of car in order to paint the ends another color. For the Club Open House for the Harvest Festival at the Strongsville Historical Society, I had my Rapido PA-1's and the Walther's 13 car General running. Have a great weekend! Rick Jesionowski

Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadian forum members! My latest project is filling this eight foot long empty scene on the model RR club layout... Originally this scene just had some generic scenery, a few buildings, and one random spur track that came off the main line and ran all the way down, but served no useful purpose. Those of us who actually show up and run trains regularly managed to convince the rest of the membership to let us rebuild the scene. We were looking for something that would give us more switching opportunities, so we eventually decided on a paper mill. I was able to design a plan using simple Walthers kits for a sprawling plant that will essentially fill the entire scene and provide us with hopefully around 10-12 car spots. The above photo shows the scene after we got rid of all the old scenery, track, and buildings. The grey building is half of a Walthers coal mine kit, and is the only original thing that got saved. The next two photos are the progress as of last week. We installed cork tiles underneath to have something to use as a base for the new track and structures. The first new structure (a Walthers recovery boiler) is mostly complete and track work has started. When we go for this week's work night I will finish the boiler house and start on the next structure, which will be the main mill and shipping warehouse building.

I did some weathering on these two cars, still have some detail weathering to do on them, but they're getting there. I also did a few other cars with an airbrush fade with the same mixture, so they'll go later. Also passed the point of no return here. Actually got a lot close to a finished product as I'm learning a bit more about tweaking the printer. I still have some tweaking to do with the file but it seems like this will work.

Norfolk & Western #142475 100-ton 12-panel Triple Hopper Class H-12A The third model in my study of Norfolk & Wester Railways 100-ton coal cars is the class H-12A. Dimensionally the H-12A was essentially the same as the H-12 albeit with lighter trucks. A total of 1,674 H-12As were built by Roanoke in 1981. I built the H-12A much as I did the H-12 using a Bachmann Silver Series model. Details added included draft gear boxes from ExactRail, couplers from Kadee (#158), coupler lift levers from Tangent (#210), and air lines from Kadee (#438). Trucks are Tangent’s Barber S-2 100-ton roller bearing with 36” wheels (TSM-401). The H-12As were decorated in the Norfolk & Western’s last corporate paint scheme prior to the merger with Southern. This design, sometimes called the “Claytor” scheme after the N&W’s then-President Robert B. Claytor, featured the words Norfolk and Western spelled out along freight car and locomotive flanks. A simple design, but in my opinion, a very classy one. I used Herald King’s decals (H-55) over Tamiya matte black lacquer.

Hi all, lots for good modeling going on. Here's my contribution. Making steady progress on the third level. A lot of the track for Woodward and Shattuck, OK has been laid with signals and switch machines following shortly after. 14Here's where we stopped for now on the third level. This is the bridge at Fort Summer, NM. We need to figure out how we're going to build the bridge (and how tall) before we can continue. We think 3D printing is in our future. The branch line to Perryton, TX can be seen cutting to the other side of the backdrop. 21More tracks in Shattuck. Notice that some of the tracks have concrete ties. Just like the real thing. 15Enjoy, -Dave

Brian asked me about printing some scale air tank safety valves. I was absolutely shocked that they printed! By far the smallest thing I have ever done. I wound up redoing my 3 most popular beacons (Prime 8901, Prime 8911/8913 and Federal 372) with the domes as separate clear parts. Much easier to paint these now. I will claim that these are the most highly accurate Stratolites & Commanders ever made in model form. Will have these at the Chicago RPM meet and on my website soon (its almost done!) I also finished another MU stand kit - pilot mounts, which are good for pretty much every locomotive. I also included the dynamic brake field loop plug, which some early engines had on the pilot (like SD7/9s). Fixing a pull apart this morning. New conveyor pit going in.

The theme of my week was trucks. I modeled 4 new ones to print, though I'm out of wheelsets for the moment. I weathered the Vulcans for my phosphate hopper and I'm very happy with how they're looking:
