New 2nd run Scaletrains 86' Boxcars

Scaletrains has announced its second run of Rivet Counter Thrall 86's Boxcars. Unlike the first run, these Thrall 86's are later production variants with no high-mounted brake wheel and no running board. These also include late-phase 1970s N&W and GTW Thralls that are riveted instead of welded.

I'm curious to see how these compare with ClassOneModelWorks' Thrall 86's.

I've noticed for this new run of Rivet Counter Thrall 86' auto parts cars, there is a lot more info under Product Details provided for each type, often showing assignments, which is nice to have the extra info.

I've seen a few photo's with Conrail 86' boxcars on D&RGW trains in Utah but pretty much all of the photo's of CR 86' cars were taken well east of the D&RGW system. But I'm tempted to get one of them. For the 3 ScaleTrains Conrail Thralls, I didn't see any assignment information which might give clues to the routes they traveled.

I'm modeling the PRR Cleveland Pittsburgh line I'm doing a little early PC and early Conrail I've seen pictures of these cars on there in the late 70s. I really have too many 86' boxcars but they are one of my favorite cars so I got probably like 40 or so after I get my ClassOne preorder I'm really looking forward to the EL quad door from them.
