Anyone tell me about PluX 22? Just received the long awaited, by some, KM4000 by Piko. It mentions a PluX 22 non sound decoder. I'm not digging into it at this time, plenty else on my work bench. Curious, tho on what it is..

Looks like just a different decoder plug type. ESU looks to offer a decoder of that format.

Repeat of my post in another threas.
That's a European spec decoder. ESU, Bachman Europe, Zemo, Märklin, Lenz, and others make them. They require a 22-pin socket and have commands for Märklin and Zemo controls as well as common DCC controls. They meet both NEM and NMRA specs. Google will find suppliers in the US of A.

The PluX standerd is "smart". The full featured connector is PluX22, but you can also use a PluX8 or PluX16 decoder. You will lose some functionality but the basics will always work. More information: dccwiki.com/PluX_InterfaceIt is a pitty that US manufacturers still use the MTC standard.

IIRC PluX22 is also the prefered connector of the NMRA. I like it a lot better than MTC, as there is only exactly one way for it to be wired.
