I looked this model over very closely. Made one suggestion to Paul who took it seriously. I hope he does include it because this IS a really nice model. Even if he does not make the change. It is a VERY nice model and the change is not a game changer. Just and enhanced detail suggestion.
I tried to find things wrong with it. Just looking it over closely at the show. I could not. Great looking model.

Brian, am I right in thinking that your post is about the forthcoming ScaleTrains GP40?
Sorry I couldn't get to the show and meet you in person.

Keep in mind that's an Exactrail car, which typically have Kadees. Whether or not they switch their own cars to Kadees remains to be seen. Are those Kadee couplers I see on the Evans hopper? Finally!

The GP40s looked very good in person. I am not well-versed on the paint schemes that were displayed so I cannot comment on art work. But as far as the model, they looked really good. Mostly straight and no unsightly gaps between components. I was not able to compare side to side, but I think the fans have thinner sidewalls compared to the SD40-2s. Not Cannon thin, but they look pretty good for mass-produced model. Pilot detail and coupler draft gear looked good. I am really looking forward the Chessie and predecessor schemes.
