All,
For the sake of transparency - I am a novice when it comes to decoder programming. I have a PRR Atlas U28C that was working fine then now NOT. I replaced the ESU decoder with a used equivalent ESU decoder from an SP U28C. Everything works fine except for the front headlight. Since the SP unit has a nose headlight and the PRR unit has a headlight in the standard location above the cab, I assume I need to change something to point to the correct location. First, is that a correct assumption?. Second, what changes do I need to make? I am using a friend's Lokprogrammer. Any help would be appreciated.
I have searched the internet and I'm not seeing anything close to what I need to do.
BTW, I'll allow the first 5 responders to ridicule my lack of knowledge! I am an old dog and this is a new trick for me.
Thanks in Advance,
Jim

The position of the headlight on the locomotive, makes no difference to the decoder. Was the PRR by chance, meant to be ran long hood forward?

All, I figured it out! I changed F0 function map and anothe function compatibility from Gyralight light to headlight/rear light and it worked. Lesson learned. Now on to the next DCC crisis!
