Any one know how to take apart this guy? Overfilled the smoke unit and leaked internally. Also want to oil the internal driveshafts and possible replace the smoke unit wick. Bought this engine brand new from trainworld but it was sitting on their shelves for several years.

Nope. I’ve tried emailing the stores on the ASC site and nobody repairs the HO models.

Page 31 has instructions for removing the boiler via two screws. Which exposes the smoke unit. Looks pretty simple, no need to pay for repairs.
Once you have the boiler off, remove the smoke unit and throw it away. It's a nusance and the smoke doesn't look anything like prototype steam loco smoke. Clean off any excess smoke oil, lube the drive, replace the boiler and better than new.

Thank you! I guess I wasn’t really paying attention. I got the shell off but am gonna keep the smoke unit as it still functions. Have you tried replacing the wicking before? Wondering what I can replace it with after the stuff in there burns up or dries out.

Search for "fiberglass wick". Seems like it would work.

Smoke fluid will eventually dry up. It's essentially a light oil, so it shouldn't harm anything internally. As long as the wick is still good, if you just let it sit for a while it will start smoking. Another common issue is a bubble inside the smoke unit. Gently blow down the smokestack, and smoke might start coming out.

The smoke comes from underneath the engine than when I blow down the stack everything is fine until a few minutes later.
