The roof walks curl at the ends. Will have to wait and see what the final product looks like.

He says in the video they will have different roofwalks.
These don't even show in the system yet to preorder.

He says in the video they will have different roofwalks. They'd better. The recent GN and UP boxcars had the same problem, though not as bad as this. Let's hope they fix this properly. Not sure where you're looking because they're definitely up for preorder on their website -- not that I'm going to do that. I'm waiting for these to be released before I decide whether or not I want one.

The running board ends look terrible with the "bent-down-cheap-out" fake supports. The sides look good.

Not just the running boards, but the overall assembly quality of the cars shown is atrocious with crooked parts everywhere. I hope the production models look significantly better.

I contacted Rapido about those hideous running boards, they said that they were preproduction models and corrections would be made. We’ll see.

Another car I would've stocked up on if they didnt have these issues, seeing a common theme here?

Did they offer a hearty handclasp?

Rapido has proven time and time again that their word most definitely cannot be trusted.
The "numerous crooked parts" is true of too many of the regular production Rapido models that I have personally received.
There are plenty of Rapido freight cars that I could really use, but the poor assembly is a big part of why I no longer buy them, combined with their NON-free-rolling wheelsets which make the slowest-rolling wheelsets of anybody else look good.
The whole point of pre-production models is to show that the parts fit together correctly. If their experts can't assemble their own designed freight cars to look good as pre-production samples, then why should we ever expect their factory to be able to do that?
Other manufacturers do not have these issues with pre-production models--perhaps they get damaged from handling and being shown around a whole lot--but they generally look pretty good at the beginning of that process.
I would like this car in quantity if it were fixed, but that video is exactly why I cannot pre-order any.

Thankfully the B-69/70 SP and Cotton Belt boxcars seem to have been well done by all the feedback I've seen. These are boxcars I needed as a D&RGW and SP fan.

I don't buy enough Rapido to justify a direct account. When they show up at my source I will probably do a do-it-yourself six pack from the singles.
The SP boxcars sold very well, but the GN cars have not.

MDT and NRC had 200 PC&F cars with the 4-foot plug that were very similar. Hoping these models are decent so I can do an MDT. Need an excuse to use that beautiful k4 MDT decal set.

Dan Holbrook had a rather scathing review of them, by that time I had already ordered one of the modernized blue GN cars, thankfully no stupid roofwalk to worry about but instead a cut lever thats ungodly thick that isn't connected to the coupler box
