Anyone seen these? Company is called Scaletraxx and sells on eBay, Etsy, has a Facebook page and their own website scaletraxx.com .
Looks like mostly N scale but there's an HO Great Northern Hutch long caboose in two versions and the streamlined cupola caboose, kits with trucks and couplers. 3D printed by the looks, they don't explicitly say or I haven't hit the right page yet in their website.
Some of the N stuff might be of interest in HO - one is an Erie Dunmore caboose. Unless it's a knockoff of the JJL models car and they don't plan to do it in HO. The website seems to imply they will do more of the N things in HO. More NP, BN and SP&S cabs, an open excursion car, some freight cars and shells for SDP40 and the F7B heater car.

Only found two HO cars, the Hutch caboose and the streamlined GN. Proportions look ok but the details could be finer. Rivets are huge on the Hutch, window frames appear to stand off the sides too far on the streamlined car.

I'm sorry, but that stuff looks bad. Looking at their Facebook page, the stuff looks 3D printed. The roof curves show it all. Heavy railings and ladders. Printed on grab irons are like molded on ones. You could do better with a block of Balsa Wood. The N Scale SDP45 looks to have no detail on the fan tops. I will definitely pass.

everyone repeated what I already said - two HO models, the two cabooses, appear to be 3D printed.

I compare that, uh, crap with what I got from Plate C: a gorgeous fantastic WM well flat. Take a bow, Adam!!!!! 3-D printing has arrived. It can be done so's you get a fantastic model (see Plate C). No need to accept, uh, crap. I won't. Ed Edward Sutorik

With the rise of 3D printing, we are starting to see lots of these basement guys forming companies selling stuff (Hey, I am one!). But...
... an unfortunate reality is some of this stuff is absolute trash. Be it the seller is not totally fluent in CAD, or is using a very basic one, or a sub par printer..the list goes on. Its great seeing more people learning and offering stuff, but some of it is just not good. Its reminiscent of the old days of the resin casters and splash molds. The model car world was FULL of this.
It is simply a matter of having due diligence when buying the stuff, and making sure to see an actual photo of what your going to get, not a rendering. A buddy of mine ordered a freight car kit on Etsy, and what showed up was a total turd. I would have been embarrassed to ship something as bad as this thing was.

Chunky is a rather gentle description of those. I though someone else did a better GN streamline caboose, but I can't remember who.
As for the basement 3d print guys, I may join them. Just need more ideas for parts.

He 3D prints them himself, and then finishes them, and sells the completed models at meets and shows in the Pacific Northwest.

While looking at that caboose (not bad for the price) I see a variety of HO scale cars by Evemodel in the $20-25 range Never heard of them.

Evermodel looks trainset-ish. Low-end Bachmann type stuff. Maybe decent proportions, possible to upgrade with standoff details and wire grabs?

They maybe even smoked (half of the amount of) the same stuff bachmann does when they make their MSRPs. However the tank container is sorta entruiging as it's a lil different than the walther's one. I'm not sure when tank containers became a thing though.

^^^ Wouldn't it be nice if some of the better stuff was sold direct by the factory?

looking at that 'Evermodel' page, it looks like they are ripping off stuff from other companies and selling it as their own. Ebay says they're based in China. Perhaps someone is taking 1 or 2 of every hundred off the line as 'defective' and then getting rid of them under the table.
Those well cars are Walthers Mainline models, the covered hopper is the Bachmann model, that caboose might be one of the Atlas ICC variants (don't quite recognize that one). The containers look like Walthers models too.

IMO the caboose is too crude to be Atlas. The window arrangement is odd, reminds me of some FW&D cars.

I actually came across Scaletraxx at a train show and picked up the streamlined caboose with the thought I might be able to clean it up, but it looks like an excessive amout of work. I don't know what printer they used but it looks like it was printed horizontal so the stepping lines on the roof are pronounced. The roofwalk and endrails are printed in place and very thick. The grab irons are molded on. They also came with window glass printed in clear resin which is just a bad idea.

Wish he did some D&RGW stuff!

Evemodel. At first (and 2nd) glance I thought it was Evermodel.
Nothing there for me.
