Today I received my order from DCCTrains of an ABA set of Baldwin Sharks in NYC. I opted for the non-sound units. Two powered A units and one powered B unit. If you buy the sound units, you cannot get a powered B unit. I figure putting in my own speakers and Loksound board would render better sound anyway.
Overall pulling them out of the box. They look fantastic. The grab irons are pushed a bit to far in, but that can be remedied when I go through them and get them all dialed in. I like these models a lot and am VERY happy with my purchase. I look forward to running them this summer at the Goldsboro, NC Sipping & switching setup.

I have a PRR set, and I agree they are fantastic models. I bought Paragon 4 sound units, so I have an unpowered B unit. It tends to be slightly askew going down a straight track, maybe because it's being pushed from the trailing A unit? Anyway, I agree, they're very nice models.

I used to have an ABA set in PRR. Yes, the B unit was unpowered. I called BLI and asked if I could buy the guts to power it and they declined. I sold the set.

Got my Stealth Series PRR A/B last week. Both units came with speakers installed, two in the B. I added Loksound and they run and sound great. The only problem was the B unit couplers were bent upwards but that was an easy fix. The Stealth Series B units are powered. They only offered one A and one B in PRR five and single stripe, would have bought another A if they did one.

Yeah, I had to buy two A units of the same number to get the NYC ABA set. They will eventually get stripped and repainted anyway. So not concerned all that much about it.

Do the new sharks have lit number boards? I’ve got the paragon 2 set in D&H but not lit number boards. I wanted to run them last year in Goldsboro but left them behind sadly

I put Loksound in my Stealth sharks and kept the factory speakers (two in the B unit), so far, very happy with the sound.

pair of sharks on the west island club had this exact setup, pulled very well and sounded great.
