Ok, scratch my first post...... I found a TCS decoder that already has resistors for LEDs (T4-LED), but it looks like it has motor control too. Since this is going in a dummy loco, is it possible to just leave the motor wires alone and just use it for lighting?? Thanks, Cody

You can, but you are going to have to add a load to the motor terminals for programming. A 100 ohm resistor works fine. When you are done programming, you either need to remove the resistor or use speed tables and set all the CV's to 0 so the resistor gets no load during operation.
