I received my replacement unit in the mail a few days ago. I appreciate the trouble Scale Trains took to make good on these models.
Included in the box is a decal sheet to presumably re-number the original model. (Not one in the group of former IC units?)
Does anyone know which of the numbers 2500 to 2696 (sub-classes a-f) would most closely match the detailing of the original model?
I know the model has some physical issues such as the snow plow being too low but these are repairable. I'm just trying to find a new number for it.

It definitely wouldn't be sub-class a (CN 2500-2522) since those are C44-9WLs, not C44-9Ws. It also wouldn't be correct for sub-class f (CN 2673-2696) since they have a different fuel tank (same issue as to why they're not correct for the IC units). Sub-classes b (CN 2523-2564), c (CN 2565-2602), and d (CN 2603-2642) also wouldn't be correct since they were delivered with the plain CN Wet Noodle logo on the sides rather than the current one with the www.cn.ca url below the Wet Noodle. Some of these units such as CN 2635 (before it was rebuilt into an AC44C6M) have since received the current logo though. With all that in mind, sub-class e (CN 2643-2672) is likely the closest match to the old ST model.

Thanks very much for the information. Re-numbered unit will be CN 2649 as that's a number grouping available on the decal sheet provided by Scale Trains.
I'm gathering some photos of 2649 to aid in weathering it after the re-numbering.
