Is it just me who is annoyed by multiple posts on the same subject within a few hours of each other? People don't have time to check and read first before posting a new thread?
And what's with posting everything in the HO Forum by default when the subject is clearly not scale-specific? This happens at least once a week.

This often came up on the original Atlas forum, which had a much higher percentage of N scale railroad modelers than does this forum. Before Atlas broke the forum into scales, general modeling topics were in one place. After the split, it became apparent that N scale modelers would not read anything marked for a different scale. HO modelers, not so much. I have a feeling that the same things are happening here - folks only read their own scale and miss a lot of information.
One example of the problem: Sunday Photo Fun is on the HO scale forum. Whereas, it should be open and available for everyone.
The current Shapeways threads are searching for a home and neither the Lounge nor the HO Scale forum are the right place since it effects all scales and is not an off-topic lounge thing.

100% agree with Colin.
Strongly disagree with the idea of integrating scales for SPF or anything else here. We don't need 1000 never-ending "What scale?" posts from the activist and scale-obsessed individuals who have taken over the youtube comments sections of most modelling videos, esp on the Rapido channel. With the ARF format, we are thankfully spared from such nonsense on every single thread.
The format of this forum isn't rocket science -- please post your threads in the right section.

No rocket scientist here. Soooo…sorry to make such grievous errors at times. Life must be damned good if it’s worth a RANT….
My chickens give me plenty enuf to worry about…(1:1) scale.

Just some food for thought. There is some lag time between creating a new post, adding all the text / information, then posting it to the forum. If two people get similar news / information and decide to share that information in a post here, there's a large chance they'll check the forum, see there's no post and create one. Sometimes the other post goes live before the other, but I'm assuming the poster was in the middle of typing up their own post.
It's also easy enough to realize the duplicated efforts, update your post to reflect that fact, and self report it to the admins for removal.
