A while back I saw this William S. Kuba image in the Lake States Archive of some CNW power at Marshalltown in 1969, right in my era. Consist is CNW FP9A 4053A, a former CGW B-unit in CGW colors, and what appears to be a repainted former CGW F3A, probably number 104A which was repainted shortly after the road was acquired. I thought a set like this one would look pretty neat on the former CGW mainline in 1969 so I've set out to build it. www.lakestatesarchive.org/William-S-Kuba-Collection/CNW-Diesel-Locomotives-and-Trains/i-78MgGC8/AI have several CGW B-units already on the roster so the middle is not problem. The ones i need are the bread around that sandwich. First one to be completed is the FP9. The FP9 was comparatively rare in the US, with most of them going to either Canada or Mexico. The four CNW units are all that I am aware of. They were rebuilt from traded FTs. To build it, I used a Highliners FP body, detailed as an FP9, Genesis drive, painted with Model Master chrome yellow and IJN green. Most of the lettering was Microscale but I had to get the lightning bolt "Radio Equipped" logo custom made. Tim VanMersbergen
