Rock Island modellers have been buying up big in the last two months. Not much choice when they release them two months in a row. I only bought one caboose because I have a few Overland from years ago. |

I only bought one caboose because I have a few Overland from years ago. I have a couple of Overland cabs as well. The Tangent versions are light years ahead of them though. It's been a rough couple of months. At this rate, I suppose the Bowser C415s and RS3s will mysteriously show up all at once...in November. |

Bowser tends to come in batches of 2 or 3 roadnames at a time, or with freight cars maybe as many as six at a time. So they won't all hit at once, but it's possible you'd get cars one week and engines the next, then nothing for a few weeks, then more.

I want to get one of the Rio Grande cars because they are so cool, but I've been slowly switching the entire roster over to actual steam era freight cars, not even middle 1950's equipment. I did have to cheat and get a few of the Tangent 60' auto parts boxcars because although I know they didn't run behind steam, at Plate C height they look ok behind the big steam. I had to let a lot of nice Tangent and Moloco stuff go as being just too new, including at least twenty 86' boxcars, and I replaced them with Tangent tank cars some of which fit the postwar era to a T.
So far I've left the Rio Grande cars to others...doesn't mean I don't drool over the photos.

Somebody must not have picked theirs up because Tangent still has a few.
I couldn't take it anymore and had to order just one Rio Grande car late last night.

There are pictures on Fallen Flags under private mark cars, PPGX. CMR also has decals available.
