Yesterday the brown truck showed up and I was thrilled to get the exCZ Amtrak dome and 10-6 sleeper. I must commend Atlas for taking this on in O Scale as in HO Broadway Limited would not touch the idea of doing the Amtrak exCZ versions. I do hope someday they will consider doing an F40PH and a steam heater car with the F7B hulk. We could model the Empire Builder, North Coast Hiawatha and other trains too.
I tore out my O Scale 2 Rail layout several years ago for an HO Scale railroad which I don't regret. The good news is I'll be doing an O scale layout in the future also.
Here are a couple of pictures. As far as I can tell everyting is right on, though I'm not sure if the underbody and trucks should be black. I know they were later in the 70s, but not when they were repainted.
