I am trying to speed match my new Atlas C40-8 Loksound 5 locomotive in JMRI without any luck.
I changed Vhigh successfully to the top speed I need. However, when I make changes to the sliders in the table the speed of the locomotive does not change. CV67 to CV94 are changing the best I can tell but the actual speed of the locomotive is nor changing.
Advice?
Thanks
Chris

Did you change CV29?

I have not touched CV29. What should I set it to?
All of my previous locomotives I haven't had to touch it as JMRI did it for me.
Thanks

CV 29 has a bit you can set for using a speed table, or the low/mid/max CVs. You'll just need to change it to use the speed table. I don't have JMRI installed so I can't check where exactly, but it should be somewhere under the general/basic/motor settings.

I figured it out and as usual it was user error. Lol
I was using Loksound 5 in JMRI when I should have been using Loksound 5 DCC.
Loksound 5 in JMRI doesn't have a selection to turn speed table on or off. Therefore it was not changing CV29 to allow the use of the speed table.
Loksound 5 DCC does. Once I selected use speed table JMRI configured CV 29 to allow the use of the speed table.
The locomotive is now speed matched with my others and running well.
Thank you for the advice to look into CV 29.
