Tangent posted this on their FB page this morning:
“ We wanted to thank all of our customers who reached out to Tangent and/or its employees during this critical time in the Asheville NC area. The damage caused by the rain that preceded the storm, and then tropical storm Helene itself, has been devastating for the area from extreme flooding, high winds, and downed trees. Our Tangent employees and their homes are safe, however our area is in great need.
To that end, Tangent will donate $10 from every order placed during the month of October to Manna Food Bank, a local organization that feeds those in need in Asheville and the surrounding area. Manna’s distribution facility was destroyed by the Swannanoa River flooding during the storm, and long term, the community will need them to return to their foundational role.
Supporting our local community is our priority at this critical time, highlighted by our $10 pledge. Tangent and USPS/UPS returned to normal shipping timing late last week, so we are open for business again and will continue to provide unparalleled models, including a all-new car release we have planned for October. We sincerely thank you all for your business, your well-wishes, and your patience during this time.
Thank you,
David Lehlbach President”

I wonder if that includes purchases made at the Chicago RPM show this weekend? They always sell a lot there and David is usually there in-person.
I can't make it up there myself but if ya'll are going, be sure to buy some freight cars!
