The October 2024 issue of NMRA Magazine has an interesting article about various kinds of glue entitled "Stickin' to It." On the last page of the article, it discusses the use of various brands of Superglue. In the article, the author recommended using Loctite Extreme Gel Glue.
A few days after reading the article, my last bottle of CA adhesive began to experience what the author described as the "glue hardening in the nozzle while the liquid you see remaining in the container is no longer available outside a superhuman effort." My efforts to get the CA flowing from the bottle were sub-human rather than superhuman, so I discarded the bottle. I did not feel like driving 30 miles each way to the closest LHS, so instead, I drove to my local Home Depot and purchased some Loctite Superglue, but not the Extreme Gel Glue because I could not find it.
The container is easier to use than the hobby variety of CA adhesive and so far, I have not experienced any difficulties with the nozzle clogging. I used the glue to attach weights to the bottom of several Accurail cars and the glue worked well and seems to adhere satisfactorily. I used a toothpick to apply small amounts of glue to detail parts that I was attaching to the car and I am pleased with the results so far.
Another desirable feature was the price--the glue cost about 40% of what the LHS charges for a comparably sized bottle of CA adhesive.

I started keeping my superglue in the Refrigerator. Apparently it keeps it from harding according to several club members.

I use this glue all the time. If I need thin ca I'll bust that out but the gel is my go to.

Long time user of Loctite CA glue. I like it a lot but beware, it will fall victim to the same issues with the discharge parts if not subjected to proper storage, replace cap asap, etc. I find it in the regional chain Meijer stores in my area, mid Michigan. Mismanaged CA tips cause LOTS of waste. No matter the brand.

To keep CA tips clear after use, I first flick the tip with my fingernail to get most of the liquid out of the tip, and back down into the container. This is done with the tip UP, vertically.
Keeping it in this position, I then place a bit of paper towel over the tip, and squeeze out the remaining. I check this by looking down inside the tip to see if it has become clear.
The above has proven very reliable for keeping the CA dispenser reusable.
You DEFINITELY want to keep CA in the fridge. FWIW, I found that the thin stuff lasts much longer than the various thick versions when I've kept them out on my bench. Which I don't do anymore, see previous.

The helix kit that I bought, the vendor recommended using Loctite. So far so good.
