I got a chance to paint this one over the weekend.... First loco I've ever painted. It's not the best paint job, but it's a start! I had an AC6000 I wanted to paint so I figured I'd get creative with the roadname, so I went with the fictional Allegheny & West Virginia Railroad. Not the best job, but turned out purty nice..... Here's my description for the loco: "Word has it that the Allegheny & West Virginia Railroad has decided to "modernize" their locomotive fleet. The railroad has recently acquired a GE AC6000 from Conrail and is seen in fresh paint just outside the AWVR Brewster shops......" Cody

Very nice paint on that new loco. Sort of a Conrail color with a Santa Fe look in the front. I like the stripes on the front plow.

The plow was factory. I was gonna do it a conrail loco, but then I started thinking. I've never seen Conrail engines with a striped plow, so then I would've had to paint it black. Then I remembered. All the AC4400s in the AWVR scheme had striped plows so I figured, hey why not an AC6000? I wasn't sure how it would turn out with the Santa Fe look on the front of a blue engine, but it turned out to be pretty flashy..... Still gotta do the number boards, but so far so good! Thanks again, Cody
