BNSF 9647 repainted - no more vomit bonnet

I recently heard that BNSF 9647, the SD70MAC that was delivered in 1995 and painted in a one-of-a-kind cream and green warbonnet with "Burlington Northern Santa Fe" spelled out on the long hood, has been repainted into BNSF's standard orange paint.

The vomit bonnet paint scheme is now history.

That unit was around in that paint scheme 12 years??? Time does go by quickly!

Odd,I thought that was a nice scheme..

I hate to see it go replace by another orange pumpkin with swoosh under the letters.
