I am looking to install a Soundtraxx Tsunami sound decoder in my Silver loco and replace the QSI board in my Gold loco What are the best speakers to use without doing major modifications to the Silver loco?

Any round 30mm speakers will do. They will work best in a pair as the weight in the frame already should have a spot for the speakers.

Keep in mind the Tsunami decoders prefer an 8 ohm load on the audio output. If you are going to use two speakers, get the 4 ohm version and wire them in series. You could also use two 8 ohm speakers in series, but the 16 ohm load will require more power from the amp for the same volume.
DO NOT wire two 8 ohm speakers in parallel as this will create a 4 ohm load and you run the risk of damaging the audio amplifier.
If you are only going to use a single speaker, any 8 ohm speaker will work just fine. For single speakers, I prefer the 16 X 35mm size with the 10mm deep enclosure. It will fit easily at the rear of the engine.
Mark.
