How to mark the board as "read"?

I see on each individual forum there is a place to mark it read, but not on the front page for the whole board. I like to look at forum and threads I like and then mark the whole board as read. Some forums I don't normally look at.

Is there a way to do that or am I just missing it? The old format had it.

It's near the bottom on the home page, on the left in italicized text grouped with "Threads and Posts." An annoying "confirm" box pops up.
