I just got my Jul/Aug issue of NSR and sure enough, another slew of Kato SD-40's. But, as usual, no Milwaukee Road!!! When was the last time Kato has done SD-40's or SD-45's in Milwaukee Road or Northern Pacific?  Well at least they are doing a BN scheme I like but this inhumane treatment of Milw Rd/NP fans must come to an end!!! |

Kato has already done Milwaukee SD40-2's and while they could probably sell many more if rerun, don't count on it. That's just they way they run their business. You have to jump on them when they come out or pay high prices on eBay later. It's too bad they don't do more schemes like Intermountain or Atlas but don't expect them to change. Last resort is always paint and decals but I understand many don't want to go this route.

I wonder if Kato sold out all of the Milwaukee units quickly the last time they ran them. That is the bottom line. Email them with your requests and they might just do them. Larry |
