Mr. Cook:
Thank you for taking the time to keep us up to date. Model Railroad News has become the only magazine which I try to purchase with regularity.
Those Bowser Bicentennial Baldwins look mighty nifty as well.

An update on the coming N-scale Arnold U25C diesel. Here's the initial release road name mix: BN, CB&Q, NP, Conrail, and L&N. Two road numbers per road name with road specific detailing to be included. The BN examples will feature one road number with CB&Q features and one number with NP features. More news as it becomes available.

This is very interesting news. I wonder if this will be a rework of the old Minitrix unit?

It's supposed to be all-new tooling. My understanding is that long time N Scaler Charlie Vlk has a hand in this project. It should also have a plug for a DCC "chip" similar to what the Fox Valley diesels have. hornbyamerica.com/news/arnold-n-scale-u25c

The Hornby Rep was in Milwaukee at Trainfest and said that they should hopefully have some test shots this spring to show. I saw the tooling drawings and the detail work looked real good. Definitely something well needed and well worth waiting for.

I will certainly looking forward to it. Don't suppose they would do a relatively obscure road, LS&I by chance? DT&I would sometimes lease units from LSI. L&N and PRR would be others of interest, L&N units sometimes seen via trackage rights in Cincy area
Welcome news for the return of one of the pioneer brands of N scale!

If you look at the Hornby America website you will notice that L & N is in the first batch scheduled for release; so there you go.

Microscale has the decals. perhaps if I got all the stuff together to roll my own they might offer them.
