Erik, Great Pics !! there is a problem on the U.P. Tankers' National B-1 trucks. under the Bolster was Not See Thru,it was a Cast Steel Tray to hold the bottom springs firmly in place. on the top of the bolster were 2 springs the rested over the bottom. now which B-1 truck is being modeled here ? the B-1 with Daul Control ? or the "All Spring" B-1 ? yes, there were 2 different versions that even frustrated the RR shops as the inner parts were different for each version and Non-Compatable. Erik Very nice pictures for sure. Where is the O scale layout located used for those great scenes? It looks to be a large club layout but those PA's sure look nice in D&RGW colors.

2-rail O is just awesome. As someone who loves to scratchbuild structures, I'd switch to O in a heartbeat if I had the room. Oh well. Maybe one day.

Photo of latest progress . The two F9s were under-powered so a Geep was borrowed from SP to help out. The Doodlebug is arriving at platform 2 with a coach trailer, she can't manage the 1 in 48 gradient at the moment owing to only driving one axle powered--it doesn't help standing the drill block on the middle part of the gradient ! it spoils the run you know. Sunday work performed:- Doodlebug wired up and got the interior and head light working without killing the diodes! Still only driving on one axle hence assistance from the SP Geep. This CNW G/E railcar has a gangway connection at the rear end so looks as though could be coupled to a trailer car-can anyone guide me please ?. The Atlas F9As I have fixed Kadees to the rear ends and am in the process of carving the coupling brackets off the lead bogies so I can fix a Kadee to the front streamlined end. Is there a kit to cover the unsightly gap where the plastic Atlas coupling swivelled about in it ? The Samhongsa brass N&W J1 still needs the wire connection sorting out between engine and tender and I am missing a front headlight and fixings and tender back up light. Who might do spares ?? The track ballast is granulated cork and the figures are a mix of 1/43 and 1/48 peoples some plastic and the pre war Hornby ones are lead !...JB 67281.

I could not agree more. 2-rail O scale is fantastic. Every time I go to my LHS I look at the 2-rail O scale stuff. If I had the room.........................

Okay, okay, uncle, uncle! I have to admit, I'm a Proto48 fan as well. Since my introduction some time ago, I am just fascinated with the level of detail in the track work! Just beautiful! And even more recently (within the last couple of years) I've grown very fond of large scale trains, namely 1:32 scale and F-scale (1:20.3). Check out this website:
