I just dug out my T55 ES44DC's. Quantity three. I can't get them to accept programming through Decoder Pro. They stay stuck on address 3. I did try programming on the main and got the same results.
Anyone dealt with this kind of thing?

It's a more-or-less common issue. try programming just the last two digits of the engine number.

Terry,
Thanks. THAT was interesting. 'Cause it worked. So, does this mean that I can't do 4-number addresses? Seems like it.
BUT I have the impression that Digitrax consisting won't allow road numbers below about 100.
Well, it's a start.

Ed I regularly consist locomotives with two digit addresses on my Digitrax system, and it's not a problem.

I've got a couple loco's as well that only have 2 digit addresses and I don't have any problems.

I think I solved the problem! I recently added a PTB-100 Programming Track Booster. Last night, I had a flash, and thought I'd retry programming my T55's. I've kinda given up using DecoderPro for now, so I used the NCE throttle. Two now have working long 4 number addresses. Just like that--real straightforward. And the third I'll do today. Only gripe (no, not really) is that the sound shuts down when speed step goes to zero. I can actually get the manufacturer's code off the decoder, so I'll see if I can fix that PITA.
