Now that the "Empire Builder" scheme phase II set is finished, its time to move on to the Big Sky Blue iron range F7 phase II set. For this build I will be using the Highliner shell. The reason being is you have the see through effect behind the grilles on the Highliner. The white band that separates the blue from the gray is very noticeable behind the grille on the prototype. www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=104384I should have some photos of the build up tomorrow.

Jim, after having tackled the EBII scheme, I expect this one will be just as nicely done. I initially didn't like the BSB scheme, but over the years, it has grown on me. Keep us posted on your progress.

Keep us posted on your progress. I always thought that Sky Blue was best on the hood units like the SDP45, SDP40, etc., but didn't like it on the F's. Now I've begun to like it more even on the F's. GN has been gone for 42 years and it seems that time softens one's likes and dislikes.

I, on the other hand, liked the BSB scheme on the F-units more than on the hood locos, before finally accepting that it wasn't a bad looking scheme, after all. One day, I'd like to have a switcher or two done up in the BSB scheme.

This is the scheme BNSF should have used instead of the orange and green.
I always enjoy your models, Jim, and I'm sure this will be no exception.
