We have obtained a substantial milestone. On 30 April, Donnell exercised the courage to offer a place for the old Atlas forum members to continue to congregate, as well as to welcome new members. It was a gamble that has been most rewarding. Today, one month and three days later, this forum has just received its 250th member. I've been on many forums, and am now involved with several of different genres, but I have never seen one grow this fast. It is also one of the most interesting forums that I associated myself with.
Donnell, thanks for providing this forum, and on this important day, I offer you my congratulations.

I have to agree with you Douglas. This Forum was certainly a gamble and I'm sure Donnell had to be wondering what, if anything would happen. Well, here it is and it seems to be growing and attracting many of the very folks he wanted. I shall second Douglas' congratulations, Donnell, and thanks for taking the risk.

The thanks belongs to all of you! I appreciate the sentiment, but the forum is nothing without its members, and really, that would be all of us! I started it because I just didn't like the fact that we were going to be left "holding the bag", if you will. I did really like the Atlas format, and believe it was the most visited forum among the many to which I am subscribed.
We have all banded together and made this place what it is. Is it better that the original? I believe time will tell, but I can say that it is well on the way. The membership is growing, former "lurkers" are now posting, and while it still has a hint of Atlas flavor, it is ifincreasingly becoming its own entity!

I for one am glad this forums was created, and even better, it was created fairly close in format to Atlas - and Don resisted the urg so many others do to build a forum with 50 posting areas which most get little or no action making those forums seem dead.
