Wow, lots of nice work this week! I was able to take a few photos of my Frisco caboose on the modules as well as a photo of the latest addition to my roster:

Here's a Rib Side Cars kit of a Milwaukee 40' double door car in factory paint that I upgraded with a number of detail improvements. Following a coat of airbrushed dullcoat lacquer, I weathered this model with some washes of artist's acrylic 'burnt umber' thinned with water and a few drops of 'Jet Dry' dishwasher rinse aid. Trucks are airbrushed with rail brown. The prototype for the MILW 7037 retained its as-built paint with full CMStP&P medallion (logo) at least through mid-1968 per the photo I worked from. Here we see the car awaiting loading at Archer Daniels Midland's Flax Fiber Division plant in Winona, Minnesota. It will soon be loaded with bales of processed flax and sent to a cigarette paper manufacturing facility in Pisgah Forest, North Carolina. Regards, Tom Wencl Lemont, Illinois

Here's my pink BN hopper. I had this very car (yes, the real one ) on a train I was on back in early February, it was the first car, right behind the power. I remembered that I'd bought one of these custom-run Intermountain pink BN cars last fall so when I got back home I felt inspired to get it weathered and completed, only took about three weeks to see it to completion!

Nice work and photos everybody!
Brad, did you replace the discharge gates on your IMRC covered hopper? If so, where did you get the replacements? I currently have several IMRC kits in process that need to have the discharge cages replaced. The Youngstown gates provided in the kit are not correct for my kits (CNW and Soo).

I replaced the gates with Tangent 4740 gates, they're availble as separate parts from the Tangent web site. The 4740 gates are actually a bit too narrow for the IM 4750 but you really can't see this once they're installed on the car. Brad
