Looks like the CN vans got pushed back by Rapido. Any idea why?

Not to sound like a naysayer, but maybe there was a electrical conduit that was molded on the wrong side of a component on the undercarriage! Just joking. But Jason is very......well lets just say, anal when it comes to the accuracy of his models. Beautifull models to say the least.

Could be any of many things... Only one thing is certain and ole TJ said it well...

Looks like the CN vans got pushed back by Rapido. Any idea why? No idea of the reason, but most products take longer to get to market than their estimation. They have produced some nice detailed products so far and this one will probably be very good when it gets done. Larry

Honestly, I'd rather have a manufacturer that's anal about accuracy than one that say, "Alright, that's good enough..."
But that's just me. Others may feel different.

I've not had the pleasure of seeing any of Rapido's equipment in person, but those photos I have seen, welll........ WOW!! I'd like to have a caboose or two of that quality in BN or CB&Q!

I purchased three of their coach cars for testing and they have great detail. Jason works on the product and has good quality control overall. Larry

...the Rapido CP van is an absolutely crazily amazing piece of work, you can't begin to believe or appreciate it until you own one and have thoroughly examined it... ...any of you who have seen or own one of the new Genesis SP cabeese will get an idea of just how detailed the Rapido cabeese are. The Genesis SP ones are very nice but not quite on the same level as the ones Jason has done - in my humble opinion...
cheers,

Same old song, China. Their first priority is getting all versions of the Canadian out the door. According to their blog or whatever they're looking at December. I have two on order and was hoping to get them sooner, but there are only so many production slots.

Rapido's caboose looks nice but since it is a Canadian prototype, it doesn't seem to match any of my western US modeling needs.
The Canadian passenger train is gorgeous btw, that is a real master piece and a pleasure to watch.

At some point they're going to do paint jobs of those that got them second hand and what not. So there should be some US roads involved with that. But don't have a clue as to who would have ended up with some.

Me neither, but I'm reasonably sure BN didn't get any. I guess I could get one and patch it for one of my branchline RR's, CDYX or ALOX.
