There was a dealer who had nice scrap loads at Timonium - also had rail cars with loads too. I forgot to get the name, does anyone remember seeing them and what their name/website was? They were in the north section not far from where the N scale Japanese layout typically is.
Thanks.

Could have been DC Rail and Hobby Depot. They do have a web site. ---- Ken

Most likely the company that you are looking for is called MOTRAK MODELS. His email address is motrakmodels@nc.rr.com. I have many, many of his loads. He does a real nice job with them.

Thanks for the references. Last week I looked at a website of MOTRAK and I don't think it was them based on what I saw. I'll poke around and see what I can find out. They should be back at the T show next fall if worst comes to worst. The dealer had some nice scrap loads. I've noticed there are not a lot of commercial loads out there in HO - even on Kleins it's a N stuff or other scales. Certainly seems a niche market to be exploited but the guy/lady at Timonium had some very nice loads at good prices.

I'm sorry that I do not have a name to give you , but, if you go to the Amherst web site , they may still have a vendor list along with the buildings map which shows where they were located in the respective buildings. Even if you do not recall the particular vendor, if there is a reference vendor you did remember in that area ,you could do a "walk" using the map. I had done this myself and found the vendor I wanted to contact. Its not 100% but may be worth a go.
Good luck Tom

I did check DC Rail. They do list loads but it seems the only way you can identify what is for sale is by photo's, which are missing in many cases. I can't tell if they are coal, lime stone or scrap metal. They really should list the type of load as well as photo's or how do you know what to order? Anyway, I emailed them for further information; waiting on reply.
Tom, good point - although this was Timonium MD, not Amherst! The Timonium website does list vendors - which may help but I simply don't remember the name of the dealer. In many cases I pick up a business card or flyer, but didn't in this case. I'll check to see if T has a map.
Thx, Jim

I had checked out protoloads website earlier - they weren't the ones with the scrap loads at T.
I doesn't look like jwpremium or dansresincasting are what I saw at Timonium but will book mark them.
We'll see if DC Rail emails me back - I wasn't able to see scrap loads but their website was missing descriptions and photo's.
Thanks

Email Scott Geare at Makin' Tracks, he may be able to help you out. He helped me track down a book vendor this week.

I heard back from DC Rail - apparently they were out of town for a personal emergency and did email me a day later. They acknowledged being at the T show and said they had scrap loads and could help me set up an order depending on which cars I needed loads for. I'm not 100% sure they were the ones I saw, but if they are the loads were pretty nice. I didn't pick up the 2 pack at the time cause I only have 1 P2k gon that needs a load right now, but they are among the best I have seen.
crazy - I'll see if I can get in touch with Maken'Tracks to see what they have. Thanks!
