I want to make a turnout control panel with a schematic of staging tracks turnout ladder and mount controllers or buttons on it. What I need are suggestions for economical buttons to control those turnouts.
Here is the rub, there will be at least 3 different turnouts to wire to.
1) most common, Atlas above table switch machines - which use momentary contact buttons
2) a small number (3) Peco twin coil switch motors need to be controlled
3) a couple of Switch Master stall type switch machine motors will be used on a couple of more stubborn turnouts.
For the panel I expect I'll use hardboard/Masonite, and paint it and apply chart tape for the track schematic, and drill holes to mount the controllers / buttons.
Comments, ideas, recommendations appreciated.

I would suggest using toggle switches. You can use momentary SPDT ones (sprung to return to off) in place of push buttons and regular DPDT for the stall machine switches. This way all the switches look consistent, but function appropriately for the individual switch machine type. I've had good luck finding the switches on ebay from multiple sellers. You can easily find them for <$1/switch with free shipping.

Great suggestion regarding stall in the same panel as the momentary. What would be a good source for the sprung momentary SPDT switches?

Great suggestion regarding stall in the same panel as the momentary. What would be a good source for the sprung momentary SPDT switches? I get them on eBay... Here's a momentary SPDT: www.ebay.com/itm/231177147093 And here's a similar DPDT for the stall machines: www.ebay.com/itm/220980383352 Hope this helps!
