That is the advertisement server for one of your existing apps. It's used in a lot of "free" apps and games that have a little ad at the bottom of the screen.

I'd suggest downloading and using the proboards app. There are no advertisements when using the app. It's particularly handy if there are multiple proboards forums you participate in.

This is safari based and is a pop up basically mimicking the ap store. In other words a very instructive online ad.

Have you updated any software or allowed an automatic upgrade?

It's also happening on PC based browsers, specifically in may case FireFox. And before it's mentioned that my PC may be infected, this forum is the only place this is happening. I'd suggest that the forum has been infected. Bob

ProBoards problem?
How many of us are NOT experiencing this problem? For your problem to be a ProBoards problem, wouldn't my PC with Windows 8.1 also need to have your problem?
Respectfully, BNSF Fan
P.S. I do know infuriating pop-ups and website hijacking can be. It took me the better part of a month to rid my wife's PC with windows 8.1 of that crap. Her problems only appeared on a couple of websites.

Hello bnsf971,
The link in question is somehow related to an ad on the forum. I don't know if something on your phone triggered it, however, the bit of research I did found this to happen with only iPhone users. I have an Android phone and have never had the issue you described, but that's not to say it couldn't happen.
I did purchase a subscription for 50,000 page views per month of ad-free service on the forum. Hopefully this will help with your, and anyone else's issues. The forum is gaining popularity, so there's no telling how long 50,000 page views will last. I'll be keeping track over the next 30 days to get an idea of average daily traffic.

Hi Terry, I purchased the ad-free service just three days ago, and in that time, the forum averaged 7000-8000 page views per day! A this rate, 50000 ad-free page views would barely last a week! This rate would require the purchase of 250,000 ad-free page views per month at $25/mo. to become ad-free full-time. It seems like a small cost, totaling just $300 annually. However, I'm just not sure it's sustainable for me. Call me cheap, but with today's economy, every dollar is accounted for.

PS - I'm sure there are creative ways to generate revenue to pay for things like more server space and ad-free service without having to solicit the membership. I'll be looking into it. Or, we can leave things as they are and let the ads pay for the site.

How do you access the forum through your phone/tablet? I have never had issues with being redirected to the App Store with mine (and I almost exclusively use my phone for accessing forums).

I use the proboards app. No ads there. I suggest it to anyone on here. Nice and easy to use, particularly if you frequent multiple proboards forums. Note: I am not associated with proboards in any way, just a happy user.

I had forgotten that the app isn't free, but it definitely is a worthwhile purchase in my book.

Hmm... Tee shirts, limited run rolling stock, multi-tiered membership, fund-raising drives, to name a few. I don't have a big issue with ads, I DO have an issue with the ads taking my tablet or phone, and sending me someplace else without my consent so often it makes doing anything on this forum almost impossible. I don't have any problems accessing the forum via iPad (Safari), a Win 8.1 RT tablet (several different browsers), or a laptop running Vista (Opera, Chrome, or Firefox browsers). I only use Internet Explorer on the laptop if nothing else works- about once ever couple months. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem you are?

Accpoding to Donnel, anyone with an iPhone or iPad, using the factory web browser, would be experiencing this. So far, my new tablet has been problem free, hopefully it will continue to be. But no one else has chimed in with the problem. My iPad is clean and operating fine.

Same thing will happen to my IPhone 6 when accessing the forum on Safari. It doesn't happen all the time, but it will ocationally self redirect for me to install an ap in the store. This is the only page that this happens to me on.
